Houston Quilt Festival

We have just heard from the Houston Quilt Festival organizers and we are excited to report that the Festival will go on!  AND we will be teaching a class!  The organizers are being very careful in the planning of this event as they want to keep everyone safe.  Unfortunately the number of classes has been greatly reduced to allow for social distancing.  Thankfully our class was not cut and we are forging ahead.  All registrations for the class will be online and I'm not sure of the date for the opening of those classes, but I will keep you informed.

We are back in full swing with our classes at Zilss Hall in Winchester, Texas.  We had a class on April 24 with 11 very enthusiastic painters!  Everyone had been vaccinated, so we were able to "go maskless".  How fun is that??

We are wide open for our May 15 class, so signup if you're interested.  The new class fee is $65.00

Purchased one from the wall at Murphy's last night (first visit to Murphy's, will be back) Hummingbird will be place on our porch at home in Austin. Already loved visiting Smithville and now will always add a stop in Winchester.

I took a class after learning about the trail during the Houston International Quilt Show. I have not had that much fun creating something in a very long time! While I can sew, I definitely cannot paint... The instructions and materials provided during the class enabled me to create a beautiful custom quilt block that I proudly hang in my sewing studio.

Thank you Winchester Quilt Trail for spreading the love of sewing through this Quilt Block Trail!

Oh how fun it was to make my own barn quilt! So organized and all the materials were ready and available. Thank y’all so much!
